A Different Way to Learn

A curated training experience — not an all-access workshop festival.

Bachata Week is designed so every class builds on the previous one. Spending the week with the same group allows teachers to understand your dancing, adapt to your progress, give you real individual attention, and take you much deeper than isolated workshops can.

Your Group is fixed for the week. The programme is progressive — each session builds on the last, and teachers adapt the content to the group. It's not designed to be swapped or attended on individual days.

Focus Area02

You selected a Focus Area already.

Every participant trains in one Focus Area for the week.

The partnership itself.

For dancers who want to improve partner connection, lead & follow quality, and social dance technique. All work is done in couple — no solo exercises, no choreography.

Meet the Groups.

Every Group is named after a neighbourhood or landmark in Cádiz — small corners of the old city that give each track its own identity. When you see one of these names on your schedule, that's your Group for the week.

Groups are carefully curated based on your application and remain the same throughout the programme, so teachers can build progressively and give you more personal coaching. If you'd like to train with artists outside your Group, you can add optional Masterclasses & Labs throughout the week.

How many extra classes should I take?

There isn't a right answer. Some participants are happy with the included programme. Others travel from the other side of the world and choose additional Masterclasses to train with artists outside their Group.

Remember that Bachata Week is six days of dancing. Between your Group, socials, practice, meals and rest, you'll have a full schedule — choose the extra classes that best match your goals.

Open Classes — subject to capacity

Practice, reflect and train.

Spaces to recover, reflect and integrate the week — open to every participant. Train Like an Artist and Clarity Lab run in small groups, so sign-up is required and places are subject to capacity.

Frequently Asked05

The questions we get most.

If your question isn't here, write to hello@bachataweek.com or ask in the participants WhatsApp group.

Can I change my Group?

No. Your Group is fixed for the week so the teachers can build a progressive programme adapted to your group. Changing groups mid-week breaks the arc for you and everyone else.

Can I attend another Group as an extra?

No. Groups are closed groups — only participants assigned to that group attend those sessions. If you want to train with artists outside your track, book their Masterclasses or Labs.

Can I attend just one or two days?

No. Bachata Week is a full six-day experience. The Group builds day by day and single-day attendance isn't offered.

Are the extra Masterclasses & Labs included?

No. Only your Group and the Included Activities are in your pass. Masterclasses and Labs are optional add-ons you purchase separately, à la carte.

Should I book lots of Masterclasses?

It depends on your goals. Some participants are happy with the Group alone; others add extras to train with artists outside their Group. Remember: six days of dancing is a lot. Leave yourself time to dance socially, rest and enjoy Cádiz.

Will extra classes clash with my Group?

The app shows only the extras that fit around your Group and existing bookings, so anything you can book from your personal schedule will not clash. That said, it's your responsibility to double-check your schedule and make sure nothing clashes before confirming.

Clarity Lab A and B — what's the difference?

None. A and B are the same programme run twice with different days, so participants can fit one into their week. Choose ONE, not both.

How are Groups assigned?

Groups are carefully curated from your video application using Technique, Musicality, Connection and Artistry, together with your learning profile, chosen Focus Area, and leader/follower balance. Two dancers with similar scores may still be placed in different groups if it's the best learning environment for everyone. Groups are named after neighbourhoods in Cádiz (Victoria, Pópulo, La Caleta…), so if you see one of these names on your schedule, that's your Group.

Can my partner or friends be in my group?

Not guaranteed. Each person is placed based on level and role balance, so you may end up in different groups. You'll dance together at socials, parties and shared activities every day.

What happens if I miss a day?

You can rejoin the following day, but the Group is progressive so you'll miss the arc that day was building. We can't repeat content for one person. Try to be there for all five sessions.
