❓ FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I record my video?
Your video must be:
- 60+ seconds
- Full body visible
- Improvised social dance
- With a partner
- Clear lighting, stable camera
- Not with a Bachata Week teacher
🚫 No demos or choreos, just improvisation.
2. What level do I need to apply?
Bachata Week is for intermediate to advanced dancers — but you don’t need to be perfect.
Our teachers will check your video to confirm you meet the minimum level.
Recording the video is already part of your growth.
3. What if I’ve never recorded a social dance video?
Totally fine — most people haven’t.
We don’t evaluate production quality.
We look at clarity, timing, connection, control, and your natural movement.
4. Can I send a demo, class video, or choreography?
No.
We require an improvised, real social dance so reviewers can see your authentic movement and connection.
5. What if my partner is much better/worse than me?
No problem.
We evaluate you, not your partner.
6. How long until I get a response?
You will receive a quick initial check shortly after applying.
This gives you early clarity so you can:
- plan your trip
- secure your spot with the deposit
- choose your programme
7. What are the programme options?
- Partner Dance → technique, flow, connection, musicality
- Solo Dance & Body Movement → expression, style, coordination, confidence
- Musicality → rhythm, phrasing, accents, interpretation
You choose after the quick check.
8. Can I change programmes later?
Yes — depending on availability.
We’ll guide you to the option where you’ll grow the most.
9. When do I receive detailed feedback?
After you secure your spot, the teachers complete a full review and send:
- your 4-pillar evaluation
- your personalised main-track schedule
- extra class recommendations
10. Is this suitable for instructors?
Yes.
Many attendees are instructors, ambassadors, or candidates for future certification.
The programme supports both personal mastery and teaching development.
11. Can I attend with my dance partner?
Yes.
You must apply individually. You can add your partner’s email in the form so we can try to send your results at the same time. Because applications are individual, we cannot guarantee you will be placed in the same track.
12. Are tracks the same as levels?
No.
Tracks are learning focuses, not rankings.
This creates a more supportive, non-competitive learning environment.
13. I feel shy about my video. Should I still apply?
Yes — this is normal.
We’re not looking for performance quality.
We care about clean movement, confidence, timing, and connection.
If you meet the minimum level, you’re in.
14. What if tracks fill up?
They can fill quickly.
Applying early gives you the best chance to secure your preferred programme.
15. What’s included in the price?
Your pass includes:
- 10 hours of classes
- 6 nights of parties
- your personalised learning programme
- balanced, selected groups
- a premium learning environment in Cádiz
